PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

The coronavirus pandemic mandates social distancing but also digital inclusion. It is time for Elderly people to train and join the new digital technologies.

The project Digital Communities of the Elderly more relevant than ever, brings to the desks, 20 elderly people in each city, in a total of 10 cities. The number of elderly people who will participate in informative and educational actions will reach 200 nationwide.

The ultimate goal is to develop a new, improved method to address the needs of the specific age group so that they are not excluded from the digital society and do not experience the digital distancing caused by their lack of knowledge or unfamiliarity with the digital management of financial products and electronic transactions in general.

The educational actions will be completed with the creation of a new volunteer advocacy network consisting of 50 regular members, plus substitute members in 10 cities, within the structures of the Open Protection Centers for the Elderly (KAPI) and with the support of the Union of Working Consumers of Greece.
