The Local Office of the Union of Working Consumers of Greece in Nafpaktia-Dorida in collaboration with the local social bodies organizes during the year Social Markets with local agricultural products. With this action, the local products are reinforced since in those participate only local producers with agricultural products and local businesses with local products.

This initiative has as a goal:

• To support  the local society and generally the security of the workplace of the region
• To give a chance to the region and to the whole society, that is plagued from unemployment and poverty.
• To give the possibilities to everybody to realize that consumers define the markets and that they have the power lo lead the prices downwards, as long as they develop a powerful consumer movement.
